All right, everything is ready to go this time. The wiki is found here:
http://wiki.chapelofresonance.com/index.php

To be able to log in and edit content, you must be a member of this forum. Your forum log in information also acts as your wiki log in information. Vandalism of the wiki will result in loss of editing privileges and a ban on the forum.

The main categories are:
Games
Characters
Timeline
Items
Enemies
Bosses
Music
Locations
Magic Systems
Developers and Designers
Other Media

Within some of those categories are sub-categories. Any help for expanding this wiki will be greatly appreciated, and whoever submits enough quality articles will be promoted to a Wiki Editor, and put in charge of a Category, or, later on, if they get big enough, a sub-category. If you're not sure what to write, then look around the different categories and see what interests you. For instance, we don't have a page about Castlevania II: Simon's Quest, or a page about Simon Belmont, for that matter.  I recommend picking a category that seems appealing to you, and expanding it.

If you're not sure how to write articles, I've written an article about Castlevania 1 to give you an example:
http://wiki.chapelofresonance.com/index.php?title=Castlevania

You can use other wikis for examples on what to include and not include in your articles. However, do not plagiarize. If you try hard enough, you can probably write a better article anyway. Your writing should not be fancy or witty. It should be informative, concise, and to the point. You're not writing to entertain people, you're writing to inform them. Leave opinions out of the wiki. "Castlevania 1 is a platforming fan's dream" is obviously not going to work, here. That is clearly an opinion and it's not informative. If your writing is total crap, it will either be discarded, or you'll be asked to revise it. That doesn't mean I have impossibly high standards, it just means don't write crap.

If you need help with anything, refer to this contents page:
http://wiki.chapelofresonance.com/index.php?title=Help:Contents

If you want to know how to create a page, see this page:
http://wiki.chapelofresonance.com/index.php?title=How_to_create_a_page

If you want to know how to edit and format your pages so you can get images to appear, see this page:
http://wiki.chapelofresonance.com/index.php?title=How_to_edit_a_page

If you have any questions about that, or need any help at all, then you can also ask me in this topic.

I don't know if this is going to encourage you to help or not, but if I don't get any help for this wiki, the whole thing is going to fall apart and not work. I'll be honest and say that with other things I have to do, I can't do this by myself.

1. I have to update the Chapel of Resonance website with content, and a lot of work goes into it, and it still needs a lot of work.

2. I have to administrate this forum.

3. Some of you may remember this from a while back (don't post there):
http://forum.megabuster.net/index.php
I'm well into development of a Mega Man site, and that will be another site and forum I need to take care of.

4. Believe it or not, outside of all of this, I have a life to live.

This is a real community project, and without support from the community, it will not work.
Okay! Post any thoughts, questions, or suggestions about the wiki in this topic, and many thanks in advance to those who choose to help us in this endeavor.

I'll probably mostly act as a gnome (read: fix up grammar, factual information, keep NPOV, etc), but I'll try to actually add stuff to the wiki. Don't know what yet, though.

I'll do the same as Conn, I guess. Everybody else is probably gonna cover stuff, anyway.

For the enemies, it would probably be best to only write articles on the recurring enemies, like Merman. For the magic systems, a single article that generally discusses each system will do for now. We don't have to dissect them to their core. I'm going to write articles about the games, but I could use a lot of help since there are so many of them.

Well now... you're good at this. You figured out the whole infobox thing. That's a good sign  Tongue
You're doing great, Nagumo. Thanks a lot for the help. Oh, and don't forget to mention Captain N: The Game Master!

One question before I go on... Is information given about a character in Judgment's story mode considered canon?

In my highly non-official opinion, probably not. IGA's said over and over than Judgment was just for fun and 'don't worry about' the story/canon/etc.

You also need to add in Simon's Quest for his other appearance, unless you're going by first appearances.

like I said in the first thread, I'll do a news section, if we add one. I'll also add content here and there as I feel like it, I'll probably focus more on the newer games, though.

Login error
You have not specified a valid user name.

I'm using my login data from here, and it keeps giving me that stupid message. It's not the brackets I'm using again, is it? O<

I'm not sure. You can still touch on it in the article, though, as long as you make clear the situation about Judgment not being canon.

I'm about 85% sure that has something to do with the characters in your username. Unfortunately, I don't think anything can be done about that aside from changing your forum username. I'll look into it, though. Either that, or wait until someone does something to fix that in the code that bridges the Wikimedia software with SMF software. That may happen, but I wouldn't count on it being any time too soon if it happens at all. I don't think it likes underscores, either.

I think only a small percentage of the members are going to help, especially in the early stages.  I'll write some things for characters today and post when I'm finished with them o.o

There was a small problem that caused the infoboxes to slightly spill outside of the border. That's been fixed. I'm going to begin an article for Simon's Quest right now.

Cyber, it's okay to go ahead and make another account for use on the wiki and use the other one on the forum. That's the only way I can think of to get passed that log in problem without changing your forum user name. Though, I could change your user name to something more character friendly, but leave your display name as is. The display name is what everyone sees anyway. I think that would work. You'd have to use the user name to log in to the forum, though.
